Joan Runnheim recently received the Leadership Excellence Award from Toastmasters International. To qualify for this award she was required to complete an action-learning program to help develop her leadership skills. She selected and worked on a project which would allow her to learn leadership skills, put those skills into action, and then receive feedback on her performance and progress.

Joan has been a member of Hudson Rise N' Shine Toastmasters in Hudson, WI for almost three years. She has served as the club's Vice President Membership and Vice President Public Relations. In 2003, she received the Competent Toastmaster Award.
