Runnheim presents on choosing a major and diverse job search strategies to college students

Joan Runnheim, President, Pathways Career Success Strategies, Hudson, co-presented “Beyond the Traditional: Choosing a Major that Leads to a Job” and “Diversifying Your Job Search for Success in a Tough Market” at Inver Hills Community College in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota on March 24, 2004. Also presenting was Peter Vogt, President, Career Planning Resources of Bloomington, Minnesota.

During their first presentation, Runnheim and Vogt talked about ways for undecided students to explore different majors and possible jobs using effective, but often unused techniques. Runnheim and Vogt also covered strategies to increase post-graduation employment.

The second presentation included a discussion on todays’ job market and why the ‘tried and true’ job search methods aren’t enough in this market. Runnheim and Vogt covered diverse job search strategies that have proven to be more effective in today’s marketplace.
