Bio for Joan Runnheim Olson

 

In 1998, Joan Runnheim Olson, M.S., formed Pathways Career Success Strategies. Joan applies nearly ten years of career consulting, coaching, and workshop training to her practice. She draws from additional lifework experience as a freelance writer and from first-hand familiarity with career transition, lay-offs, and the job search. As a career coach, workshop facilitator, speaker, and writer, Joan specializes in helping professionals, managers, and executives take charge of their career.

 

As a career advisor for Monster.com, Joan has been able to reach out to millions of people with her career-related articles and advice. As a freelance writer, she has written numerous articles, with a focus on career-related issues. Joan has been sought out as an expert in her field, being quoted in local and national print and online publications.

 

Joan presents career and leadership related workshops at conferences, colleges, job search support groups and other venues.

 

Through interactive workshops, Joan helps secondary and post-secondary institutions recruit and retain females and males into nontraditional classes and programs. She has extensive experience helping move women into nontraditional careers, including the construction, aviation, auto service, and printing industries.

 

A Wisconsin native, Joan earned her master's degree in vocational rehabilitation with a concentration in vocational evaluation from the University of Wisconsin. She is a Certified Leadership & Talent Management Coach through Leadership Coach Academy. Joan earned her designation as a Certified Career Management Coach through Career Coach Academy. She is also a Five O'Clock Club Certified Career Coach.
